Common Client Questions – FAQs

As a partner of EverythingCloud, you’ll frequently interact with clients who are just getting started or are exploring optimization opportunities. Below is a collection of the most common questions clients ask during onboarding and throughout their FinOps journey — along with clear answers you can use to guide them confidently.

🔐  Onboarding & Access

Q: How do we connect our cloud accounts to the EverythingCloud platform?

A: We provide step-by-step guides and videos for securely adding AWS and Azure credentials. This is done via read-only IAM roles to ensure security and minimal risk. EverythingCloud never takes write-level access unless explicitly requested and can only turn things on and off, never delete.

Q: What level of access does EverythingCloud need to my cloud environment?

A: Read-only access is sufficient for analysis, reporting, and optimization recommendations.

Q: Can we control who on our team has access to the EverythingCloud portal?

A: Yes, you can add unlimited users and assign different permission levels (Admin, Analyst, Viewer). This allows teams to collaborate without giving everyone full control.

Q: Where is our data stored and is it secure?

A: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use secure cloud infrastructure with strict access controls, and your cloud usage data never leaves our secure environment.

📊  FinOps & Cost Optimization

Q: What kind of savings can we expect?

A: On average, EverythingCloud identifies 35%+ in potential savings, with many clients seeing 10–20% reductions in the first 30 days just from quick wins like shutting down idle resources or rightsizing.

Q: How do you identify optimization opportunities?

A: Our platform continuously analyzes your usage patterns, tagging data, resource types, and billing trends to surface cost anomalies, unused or underutilized assets, and opportunities for better pricing (e.g., savings plans).

Q: Do we need to commit to any long-term changes to see savings?

A: No. Many optimizations (like stopping unused instances or deleting unattached disks) are low-risk and reversible. For longer-term options like Reserved Instances or Savings Plans, we guide you through the decision.

Q: Can EverythingCloud help with forecasting and budgeting?

A: Absolutely. We provide forecasting tools and cost trend analytics to help you anticipate spend and plan budgets more accurately.

🏷️  Tagging & Governance

Q: Why is tagging so important?

A: Tagging helps you attribute costs accurately to teams, projects, and environments. It enables cost accountability, anomaly detection, scheduling, and policy enforcement — all of which are critical for FinOps maturity.

Q: Can you help us build a tagging strategy?

A: Yes, we offer best-practice frameworks and can review your current tagging hygiene to suggest improvements. Our platform highlights missing or inconsistent tags and can alert you to orphaned resources.

Q: What if our teams don’t consistently tag resources?

A: That’s very common. We’ll work with you to define required tags, educate your teams, and set up alerts or automation to improve compliance over time.

🛠️  Platform Features & Automation

Q: Can we schedule resources to shut down automatically during off hours?

A: Yes! Our automation engine allows you to schedule workloads like dev/test environments to stop during evenings or weekends — dramatically cutting costs with minimal effort.

Q: Do you offer alerts for cost spikes or anomalies?

A: Yes, our platform includes customizable alerting that notifies you of unusual cost patterns or potential overspend before it becomes a problem.

Q: Does the platform support multi-cloud environments?

A: Yes. We currently support AWS and Azure, with support for other providers (e.g., GCP) on our roadmap. You can manage all accounts from a single dashboard.

👩‍💼  Working with EverythingCloud

Q: Will EverythingCloud implement the recommendations or just advise?

A: We can do both. By default, we provide analysis and guidance. If you’d like us to take action (e.g., shut down resources, buy commitments), we’ll discuss and get your approval.

Q: Who do we contact if we need help?

A: Your partner team can submit tickets directly through our portal or email support. If you’re providing first-level support, escalate issues to us through the shared support channel you’ve been given.

Q: How often do we meet with EverythingCloud?

A: We offer quarterly strategy sessions to review progress, trends, and next steps. Ad hoc calls are also available as needed, especially early in the engagement.

💳  Billing & Pricing

Q: How is EverythingCloud billed?

A: We charge a monthly fee based on your client’s cloud spend, following a tiered pricing model. Your partner agreement includes the detailed rate card. You’re billed monthly for all active clients.

Q: Do our clients pay EverythingCloud directly?

A: No. As a white-label partner, you handle client billing. We invoice you, and you decide how to price EverythingCloud as part of your offering.

Q: Is there a minimum commitment?

A: No minimum required, but pricing tiers improve as you grow your book of business with us.

📦  Miscellaneous

Q: Is there just a web portal?

A: Currently, EverythingCloud is accessible through a responsive web app optimized for desktop browsers.

Q: Can we request new features or integrations?

A: Absolutely. We value partner feedback and prioritize roadmap items that benefit the ecosystem. Share your ideas, and we’ll discuss feasibility and timelines.
